Total Produce plc, Europes leading fresh produce company, announces that it has acquired 92% of Wholefoods Wholesale Ltd. (Wholefoods), the health foods distributor.
Wholefoods is the leading distributor to independent health food stores in Ireland of high quality health products, including natural foods, vitamins and mineral supplements. Total Produce welcomes the opportunity to become involved in this sector which has grown strongly in recent years. The company recorded a turnover of 18 million in 2006.
Total Produce expects the acquisition to be earnings enhancing from the date of completion.
